Aviator Lacrosse Club Kickoff and Team Plans

Ashley and I appreciate the support from our family, friends, and the lacrosse community since we made our kickoff announcement last week!

We look forward to our Free Skills Clinics in partnership with the Walsh University Men’s Lacrosse team and coaches on September 19th and 25th and October 2nd. Please register if you are interested in participating (register). The Free Skills Clinics are open to all area interested middle and high school boys even if you are associated or committed to another club lacrosse team.

Tryouts for Aviator Lacrosse Summer 2023 club travel teams are set for Monday, October 10th. We are targeting boys in classes 2025 (current 10th grade) through 2029 (current 6th grade). If you are interested in playing for Aviator's Summer 2023 travel teams but participate in a fall sport and cannot make out the Oct. 10th tryouts, please let us know. Aviator Lacrosse is considering a supplemental tryout date in Spring 2023 as we continue to build awareness of the club.

WHAT SETS AVIATOR LACROSSE CLUB APART?

  • Aviator Lacrosse Club is an alternative to established clubs that are distant from the Stark County area, impose a large time commitment for practices and competitions, and put a substantial financial burden on parents for team fees and travel expenses.

  • Aviator Lacrosse Club team tryouts and practices will be on Walsh University's turf fields in North Canton, which serves as a central location to our targeted for boys in and around the Stark County area.

  • Aviator Lacrosse Club set up our competition schedule, locations, and team pricing with an eye towards easing players into competitive club play and to minimize the financial impact on our players and their families.

  • Our second and final tournament will be July 15-16, 2023 at the NXT Grand Prix Tournament at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana (outside of Indianapolis). Grand Park is a large youth sports complex with over 30 well maintained lacrosse fields. The NXT Grand Prix will include boys and girls' teams from all over the midwest, and each team will play a minimum of 4 games. The NXT Grand Prix is a "stay-to-play" tournament that requires players and their families to book their hotels through the NXT website.

  • Aviator Lacrosse Club Summer Travel Teams will cost $1,000 per player. This fee covers hiring quality coaches with college coaching and/or playing experience, practice field time, tournament registration fees, and team apparel. Team apparel includes a reversible team pinnie (jersey), shooter t-shirt, team shorts, and a team hat. Parents/players must pay for their own travel costs.
