Aviator LAX Updates - Team 224 Merger, Girls LAX Expansion, and Boys 5-6th Grade Team

Aviator Lacrosse Club is excited to make the following announcements for our lacrosse club and programming:

  • Team 224 Acquisition:  Aviator Lacrosse has acquired Team 224, a lacrosse club from Youngstown, OH.  Team 224 founder, Dylan Ciolino, will take over the role of Director, Lacrosse Operations for Aviator and coach our Youngstown-based high school boys’ teams.  Other Team 224 coaches will continue to coach for Aviator.  Our summer teams in Canton and Youngstown will operate separately for Summer 2024.  Parents/players can choose whether to participate on either our Canton- or Youngstown-based team.

  • Girls Lacrosse:  Aviator is excited to expand into girls’ lacrosse for girls currently in 8th through 11th grade (graduating classes 2025 to 2028).  Interested parents/players can register for tryouts here. Our Canton-area girls’ program will operate out of Malone University, and will include coaches from Malone University, Ashland University, and the University of Mount Union.  Our Youngstown-area girls’ program will operate out of Youngstown State University, and include coaches from Seton Hill University, Youngstown State University, and Ashland University. Our girls summer program will include 12-practices and 3-tournaments.  The tournaments are (i) Midwest Moxie Lacrosse Tournament, (June 15-16, 2024)(link); (ii) NXT MidAmerica Invitational, Westfield, IN (June 29-30, 2024)(link); and (iii) Gem City Lacrosse Tournament, Erie, PA (July 13-14, 2024) (link).

  • 5-6th Grade Canton Boys Team:  Aviator is starting a 5-6th grade team in the Canton-area.  Practices will be Monday and Wednesday nights at Walsh University’s Vasco Field.  Aviator is finalizing the coaches for the team.  The fee for the 5-6th grade team is $800.00 (plus sales tax) and includes 11-practices, 2-tournaments, and Aviator team gear.  The two tournaments are (i) Ohio Lacrosse Festival, New Albany, Ohio (June 15-16, 2024)(link); and (ii) Gem City Lacrosse Tournament, Erie, PA (July 13-14, 2024)(link).   Aviator’s goal for the 5-6th grade team is to ease parents/players into club lacrosse with fewer practices and tournaments, and to focus more on building fundamental skills. Interested parents/players can register here.

Aviator is excited for our growth into new areas, girls lacrosse, and new boys teams.
