Aviator Lacrosse is making great progress for our Summer 2023 club team.
Coaches: We announced the hiring of Aidan Martinez, a current defensive middie player for Walsh University’s Men's Lacrosse team, to be an assistant coach for our high school team. Aidan coached defensive players at Aviator’s indoor winter skills clinics and was great with the kids in working through drills and breaking down technique. We will announce other coaches soon.
Registrations: We’ve had a great response so far in registrations and contacts. We have players from Stark County and beyond, including players from Jackson, Hoover, Central Catholic, GlenOak, Lake, Louisville, and Wadsworth.
We are still looking to fill out our summer rosters for our two middle school teams and one high school team with an emphasis on defensive players and faceoff specialists.
Need Based Scholarships: Aviator’s goal is to provide opportunities for local players to get better lacrosse training and competitive experiences. We understand it’s a big time and financial commitment, and we don’t want players to lose out due to tough financial circumstances. We are open for a limited number of need-based scholarship opportunities. If you have questions, please contact us at aviatorlacrosseclub@gmail.com.
Team Store/High School Team Gear: A team store will go live in the week or two to give players and parents an opportunity to purchase Aviator Lacrosse Club team gear. We will post the team site link on our website, social media pages, and send via email to our parents/players. Any gear purchased should be delivered before our first tournament on June 17-18 here in Canton.
Due to supply chain issues, we worked with a different supplier and designed new gear for our High School players that looks different than the gear posted on our Team page. Below are images of our reversible team jerseys for our high school players.
We are looking forward to our May 24th Team Tryouts and our Summer 2023 program.
Thank you,
Evan Dean, Owner, Aviator Lacrosse Club
